Sheriff Seeks Public's Help on Attempted Break-In

     The Baxter County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect whose image and actions were captured in a surveillance video. There are photos as well as surveillance footage located on the Baxter County Sheriff's Website, under press releases.  (Click here to watch surveillance video)

     The incident occurred on September 19, 2010. The suspect attempted to break into a shop building on Woods Point Road, in the Hand Cove, area of Baxter County. The suspect, a white male, is wearing a camouflaged T-Shirt and Baggy Shorts. He is shown in the surveillance video in the afternoon ‘casing' the building, and then again late at night attempting to break into the shop building with a type of pry bar.

     Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information about this crime is asked to contact the Baxter County Sheriff's Office at 425-7000 or can leave an anonymous tip by calling 424-INFO.
