40 Year Joliet, Illinois Man Arrested for Burglary

09/26/2010

September 25, 2010 at approximately 4:38 pm, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office responded to a complaint of an unruly male who had broken into a residence on Big Pond Circle, south of Mountain Home.

Baxter County Deputy Aaron Brown initially responded and located the male suspect. The suspect was intoxicated and refused to cooperate with authorities and provided false information to investigators as to his identity.

After the initial investigation it was determined that the suspect, 40 year old Wayne Alan Rogers, from Joliet, Illinois had been staying with the victim's neighbor for approximately three weeks. The suspect, Rogers, waited until the victim left and broke into her residence taking alcohol and beer. Rogers then left the residence and began bragging to witnesses that he was a ‘ninja' and was able to get in and out of the victim's residence without being seen.

Wayne Alan Rogers was charged with:

Residential Burglary                                       Class B Felony
Theft of Property                                             Class A Misdemeanor
Obstructing Governmental Operations     Class C Misdemeanor

Wayne Alan Rogers was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center. He posted a $25,220 bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Baxter County Circuit Court on October 7, 2010.
