09/24/2010

A Bull Shoals resident, already in custody on other charges, is now facing additional charges following an investigation into the theft of several articles.  Bronson Ellis Kittler, 35 years old of Bull Shoals, was arrested on August 30th in a vehicle that did not belong to him.  This vehicle was impounded.  When the registered owner went to the impound lot to retrieve her vehicle, she discovered that multiple items of personal property were missing.

The owner filed a theft report with the Sheriff's Office, and Investigator Mike Day was assigned to follow up on the report.  On September 3rd, Bronson Kittler left a phone message for Investigator Day stating he knew the location and whereabouts of some of these items, including a laptop computer and make-up bag, and wanted to clear up the matter.  No further contact was had from Kittler until he was again arrested on September 22nd on separate theft charges filed by the City of Mountain Home Police.

Items reported stolen by the owner of the vehicle in question included $1,150 in cash, a Toshiba laptop computer and case, temporary checks from First Security Bank, wedding ring set, cell pohnes, medications, a watch, and various other articles with a collective value of approximately $5,600.  None of these items have been recovered at this time.

Investigator Day is charging Bronson Ellis Kittler for the offense of Theft of Property, a Felony, bond for which will be set at $20,000.  Kittler remains incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center.
