Death of 51 Year Old Female Being Investigated by Sheriff's Office

10/24/2009

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 51 year old, rural Mountain Home woman.

October 24, 2009 at approximately 5:53 am, 911 received a call about an unresponsive female at a residence on CR 1031, in the Midway area. Sherriff's Deputies and ambulance crews from Baxter Regional Medical Center arrived and found 51 year old Jodi Diane Hunt deceased.

Statements and evidence found at the scene suggest that both Ms. Hunt and her boyfriend, Jim Perdue, had been drinking heavily the night before. Mr. Perdue found Ms. Hunt unresponsive in the bathroom of the home, called 911 and began CPR. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations do not indicate any suspicion of foul play. The body is being sent the Medical Examiners Officer to determine manner and cause of death.
