JAILER AND NURSE POSITIONS NOW OPEN; PAY SCALE HAS BEEN INCREASED

The following positions are now open at the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, and our pay scale has just been increased for these positions as indicated below. 

 

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) - FULL TIME and PART TIME

     The Sheriff's Office is seeking applications for both a full time Licensed Practical Nurse and a part time/prn Licensed Practical Nurse.

     Applicants must possess a current and valid LPN license from the State Board of Nursing.  These positions work closely with the Jail APRNs.

     All county benefits are available for the full time position, which includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick time, personal days, and participation in the state retirement system.

     Starting rate of pay for the positions under Baxter County's pay scale will be $17.75 per hour or more, depending on experience, with an increase after successfully completing a 90 day probationary period.

JAILER

     The Sheriff's Office is seeking reliable and dependable applicants for the position of full time Jailer in the Detention Center.  Starting rate of base pay is $15.75 per hour but can be increased depending on prior experience and qualifications, with all county benefits provided such as paid insurance, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and state retirement program.  There is a 90 day probationary period.  Reliable transportation is required.

     Applicants must be available to work any shift and any days, including weekends and holidays.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, be free of any felony convictions in any jurisdiction, pass a physical exam and psychological evaluation, and meet all other minimum qualifications for the position as established by state mandates.  Uniforms and training will be provided.
