DEPUTY INVESTIGATES SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE COMPLAINT AND ARRESTS ONE ON DRUG CHARGES

     Following a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Tuesday evening April 28th, a Cotter woman was arrested on various drug charges and for a parole violation.  The Sheriff's Office received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle parked in a private driveway on Baxter CR 714 at approximately 7:00 PM.  Sheriff's Deputy Craig Kocka was dispatched to investigate.

    Upon arrival, Deputy Kocka found two vehicles parked in the location.  The deputy made contact with a woman seated in the passenger seat of one of the vehicles and two men who eventually came walking up.  All three of them were on parole or probation and had search waivers on file.  Deputy Kocka proceeded to conduct searches of these people and their vehicles.

     In the vehicle the woman had been seated in Deputy Kocka found a baggie of suspected methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, a used syringe, smoking pipes, and other paraphernalia.  The woman, identified as 39 year old TONI YVONNE HOLLOWAY, was placed under arrested and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center and was booked on charges of:

Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) - Felony
Possession of Controlled Substance (marijuana) - Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Misdemeanor
Parole Violation

     TONI HOLLOWAY has a bond of $2,500 on the drug charges but has a no bond hold for the parole violation.  She will appear before the Circuit Court to answer on May 7th.

     The two men present were not charged with any offenses and were released.
