DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES FILED AGAINST TWO MIDWAY MEN

      Two Midway area men were arrested Monday afternoon, July 3rd, after Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office and Officers with the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections conducted a home visit on Cedars Hills Drive.  This is the residence of 49 year old Parolee THOMAS SALVADORE GALLUZZO III and his son THOMAS SALVADORE GALLUZZO IV.

     During a search of the residence, officers found numerous illegal items.  These included approximately 4.2 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, suboxone, clonazepam, and smoking devices. 

    Both of the GALLUZZOs were taken into custody and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center for booking.  Records indicate that THOMAS GALLUZZO III has been booked into the Detention Center ten (10) times since 2013, primarily related to drug offenses. THOMAS GALLUZZO IV has one previous booking at the Detention Center for drug offenses.

    The following charges have been filed against both of the subjects:

Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver – Felony
Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver – Felony
Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor
Possession Schedule VI Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver – Felony

    In addition, THOMAS GALLUZZO III was charged as a Habitual Offender because of his prior history.

    Both persons have bonds of $25,000 on these charges, as well as no bond holds for parole or probation violations.  They were scheduled to make appearances today in Circuit Court.
