09/14/2016

Michael Joseph Pedry

The Sheriff’s Office has arrested 52 year old MICHAEL JOSEPH PEDRY of Gassville on an outstanding felony bench warrant for theft of property.

The warrant was obtained following an investigation into the theft of a motor vehicle that had been reported to the Sheriff’s Office on July 11, 2016.  The owner of the vehicle reported that his 2004 Chevrolet crew cab pickup truck and a chainsaw in the truck, valued cumulatively at $8,450.00, had been stolen.

On the morning of July 12, 2016, the stolen vehicle was found on the parking lot of Harps Food Store #194, Highway 62 W, Mountain Home.  During the investigation, images were discovered on the store’s security camera video system clearly showing a suspect, who was positively identified as MICHAEL JOSEPH PEDRY.  The video showed PEDRY driving the stolen truck on the lot, parking it, and then walking away.

Investigators obtained a warrant for the arrest of PEDRY for Theft of Property, Class C Felony, and he was found and taken into custody this morning.  He is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond and will appear in the Circuit Court to answer on September 22.
