Joint Investigation Nets 9 Arrests on Drug Charges

A joint investigation by the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Home Police Department, Arkansas State Police and the 14th Judicial Drug Task force resulted in the arrest of nine (9) individuals on various drug charges on Wednesday.

At approximately 10:40 am, a search warrant was executed at 330 East 11th Street in Mountain Home.  The search warrant was obtained after drug purchases were made from that residence on more than one occasion from more than one person.  Officers found drug paraphernalia and items used in the packaging of narcotics. Three (3) people, Rickey Abbott, Joshua Wells and Kathleen Pieri were taken into custody and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center.

A short time later, at approximately 11:45 am, the second search warrant was executed at 365 Buzzard Roost Cutoff. This search warrant was obtained after a controlled buy of methamphetamine had been made from a person who was residing at the residence. During the execution of this warrant, numerous smoking devices commonly used for smoking marijuana and methamphetamine were found throughout the residence. Syringes, scales, baggies, methamphetamine along with a Kel-Tec 32 automatic handgun were seized.  Six (6) suspects, Michael Andrews, Quinton Glover, Katlyn Marler, Jesse Martin, Hannah Miller and Cheyenne Shinault were also taken into custody and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center.
