MAN RESCUED FROM STREAM NEAR CR 43

     Information is sketchy as to the circumstances of the incident, but a man from Bakersfield, Missouri, 48 year old STACEY CHARLES THOMPSON, was rescued from a stream this afternoon near Baxter CR 43 about 5 miles East of Gamaliel.  The stream feeds into Lake Norfork.

    The 911 call center received a report at approximately 2:55 PM of a man found floating in the water but alive.  Emergency Medical Personnel were dispatched, including an ambulance from Ozark County, Missouri, first responders from the 101 Gamaliel Fire Protection District, and an air ambulance.  A Sheriff's Deputy also responded.

     The man was transported to a medical facility in Missouri for examination and treatment.  His condition is not known at this time.
