SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND CORONER'S OFFICE RESPOND TO UNATTENDED DEATH

The Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office are investigating the unattended death of a 50 year old Norfork woman who was found deceased this morning at her residence.

At approximately 6:35 AM today, the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a 911 call that had been taken regarding an unresponsive woman at the Norfork Villa Apartments.  Sheriff’s personnel and emergency medical personnel responded.  On arrival they found DOROTHY FAY HOWELL sitting in a lawn chair on the outside of the residence and found that she was deceased.  She had last been seen alive around 10:30 PM Thursday evening by family.

There is no suspicion of foul play, however the decedent is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
