JAIL INMATE FACES NEW CHARGE OF VEHICLE THEFT

     A Viola, Arkansas man, 28 year old JOSHUA JAMES LANGSTON, who is already being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on various charges, has now been charged with an additional offense related to theft of a motor vehicle.

     On August 2, 2013, it was reported to the Sheriff’s Office that a 1997 Lincoln MK 8 passenger car valued at approximately $2,500 had been stolen from 9582 Highway 5 South in Salesville.  Based upon information provided by the victim, JOSHUA LANGSTON was developed as a suspect in this theft. 

     The stolen vehicle was located and recovered the next day, August 3rd, in Fulton County by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.  JOSHUA LANGSTON was interviewed by Sheriff's Investigator Trey Edings about the theft on August 30th and subsequently admitted to taking the vehicle without permission. 

     LANGSTON, who has been jailed in Baxter County since August 21st, now faces an additional charge of:

Theft of Property – Class D Felony

     Bond on this charge is $15,000.  He will appear in Circuit Court next week to answer this charge.
