SHERIFF'S OFFICE EXPERIENCES MOSTLY ROUTINE HOLIDAY WEEKEND

     The Sheriff’s Office experienced a fairly routine weekend over the Memorial Day Holiday, with only light to moderate activity reported. There were no major incidents reported during the holiday.

     From Friday through Monday evening, the Sheriff’s Office took 118 complaint calls or calls for service.  There were a total of 30 people booked into the Detention Center on various charges from all local agencies, including 13 persons arrested or booked by Sheriff’s Deputies.  Overall bookings from all agencies included:

Driving While Intoxicated                           2

Driving Under the Influence (Minor)           1

Boating While Intoxicated                           1

Public Intoxication                                       1

Minor in Possession of Alcohol                   1

Possession of Drugs                                   1

     Sheriff’s Deputies issued a total of 8 traffic citations and 7 traffic warnings.     In addition to the normal patrols, additional deputies were patrolling the U. S. Army Corp of Engineer parks and campgrounds under contract.  The Sheriff’s Office boat was used on Lake Norfork.
