MAN CUTS ANOTHER WITH A KNIFE; ARRESTED FOR BATTERY

09/13/2012

Terry Lee Palmere

Deputies arrested a local man overnight on a charge of felony battery after he cut another man with a knife during a fight.  TERRY LEE PALMERE, 34 years of age of Mountain Home, is in the Baxter County Detention Center following his arrest.

Sheriff’s Sergeant Charles Bost was on patrol in the Midway area around 10:00 PM Wednesday evening when he heard a female screaming.  He located the woman, who stated she had been hit in the face by a man at the Midway Oaks Laundry.  Upon arrival at the laundry, there was nobody there.  A short time later, the Sheriff’s Dispatcher advised deputies of a fight taking place at 5925 Highway 126 North, which is only about a mile away from the Midway Oaks Laundry.

Deputies determined during investigation that multiple parties were involved in related fights and disturbances that took place at several locations in the Midway area.  These persons gave conflicting statements and allegations about what had transpired.

However, there was sufficient evidence present for deputies to believe that TERRY LEE PALMERE had gone to the residence at 5925 Highway 126 North, engaged in a physical altercation with another man there, and cut him several times with a knife.  The victim sustained only minor injuries and did not seek medical attention.

TERRY LEE PALMERE was incarcerated on a charge of Battery in the Second Degree, a Felony, with bond set at $15,000.  He will appear in Circuit Court on October 4th.
