Information from The Baxter Bulletin, July 2, 1920:

George Foster was born on August 5, 1843. He passed away at his home five miles northeast of Mountain Home on Friday, May 21, 1920.

George Foster was twice married, first to Miss Laura Goodall, who passed before him, and secondly to Maggie Cantrall, who survived him.  He was father to four children.

He was known affectionately as "Uncle George" among his wide circle of friends.  He was one of county's pioneers and served as County Sheriff.  He was active in church work, and his good influence was felt by all who knew him.  

The funeral service for George Foster was held on May 22, 1920.  He is buried in the Mountain Home Cemetery.
