Sergeant Tim Phillips Bids Farewell

Sergeant Tim Phillips retired from the Baxter County Sheriff's Office on Friday, July 26, 2013.  Sergeant Phillips had been in Law Enforcement for 25 years.  Sgt. Phillips served as the Chief of Court Security and Senior Bailiff for the Sheriff's Office.  Tim is credited with being the driving force behind numerous advancements in security for the Court Complex.  Tim was not only a bailiff, he also performed duty as the Assistant Supervisor of the Support Services Division of the Sheriff's Office.  This involved public presentations on Neighborhood Watch and helping maintain and train other agencies on Project Lifesaver. Also, as a Law Enforcement Instructor, Tim has trained and helped mentor numerous other officers.

Sergeant Phillips retired due to the effects of a debilitating stroke that he suffered earlier this year.  We here at the Sheriff's Office and for those that know and love Tim understand that Baxter County is a better place for his selfless service to our community.  We wish him well and hope that he enjoys a well deserved retirement.
